De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da...

So - how happy did seeing The Police on the Grammy awards last night make me?*

So Very, Very Happy!

I have long been a fan - one of the great regrets of my life was that I was not allowed to drive down to Knoxville in 1983 to catch the Synchronicity Tour.
(She had much cooler parents, and got to go. I love her, but am still quite envious of this...)

I couldn't tell you anything else about the Grammys - I only watched the opening.
I figured that if anything earth-shattering happened I could read all about it this morning, and probably catch it on YouTube...
But I did watch "Roxanne" about 6 times last night...
Sigh...

Aside from wallowing in 80's nostalgia, it's going to be a little quiet around here. Oddly enough, the bears that I need for all the December newborns are not knitting themselves, if you can imagine that?

So, I'm off to knit like the wind, Bullseye!

I missed it! I was a big fan of the Police, though I came in pretty late to the game...Synchroncity was the album that I loved.

I can't believe I missed it last night! I'm off to Youtube to dig around for it.

And I went to the Synchronicity concert too! I saw them in Maryland and they were AWESOME! REM opened for them, so I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I thought I was SO COOL. Ah, I heart the '80's.

They rocked! Love the Police! By the way I am pretty sure that they did announce a tour this am. I am almost 100% sure is what the radio said. We saw bits & pieces of it. Mostly the TV was just kind of on in the background. The Dixie Chick won a ton of awards.

I missed it too. I am very sad. I can't believe that the Grammys opened with them. What about all the latecoming watchers?!??!!? It would've been better if it was right in the middle of all the crap that performed. Show up everyone.
I got to see Sting live back in 1999. Great concert.

I think that concert was the night before SATs. I recall being with Bain and Jeff and god knows who else and somehow I recall my parents driving us? Or Jeff's parents? It's a blur. But it was a fun concert.
