It's a Sad Morning In Georgia...

and in Alabama, and Ohio too...

My heart is breaking for the families of the Ohio college baseball team whose bus plunged off an I-75 overpass this morning.

My heart is breaking for the townspeople of Americus.

And my heart is breaking for the families of the students at Enterprise High School.

That's a whole lot of sadness for one 24 hour period.

If you are the kind of person who prays, or sends good wishes - please take a second to remember some of the folk above.

I think that they could use it.

And I think that both WIP Friday, and the discussion about how not everything on Wednesday was sucky, are going to have to wait for another day.
I'm not going to be all morbid and depressing and brooding today - but I just don't feel like today is the day to talk about little bears and stuff...

It just made me sad to wake up to that news this morning. And made me hug my little ones a little tighter.

Have a good weekend, sweets.

I was just sick last night hearing about the tornados & then the bus this am. They didn’t have all the details in before I left for work. I think that they were under the impression up here that it was a little league team. Not that it matter horrible either way. I will be adding them all to my prayers.

My parents were camping at Robbins Air Force Base last night and my mom called me in a panic. I could hear sirens wailing in the background.

It was so scary. I told my mom that strapping young service people would politely and efficiently keep them safe, no matter what. (And they did.)

I grieve for all those who did lose family members, especially the young people.

Makes my problems seem trivial. I am that kind of person, sending my prayers.

My thoughts are with them L. I cannot imagine how much this one region of the country can take!
(And I sighed when they showed Pres. Bush flying over today and making promises. I could hear Louisiana shaking their heads and lighting effigies at the same time!)
