Schecky and I, after much testing and research, have concluded that pretty much anyone can make a cute Halloween cookie.
But a truly hideous one?
One that looks like it has been masticated and then run over by a very large truck?
Well, that's where your true culinary creativity begins to shine...
Plus, the really ugly ones taste much better...
*I didn't intend for this to become "Food That Looks Like Ghosts" week - I guess it's just the season....
And, oh yes! The people have spoken: Drunken Pirates and Undead Prom Queens win by a huge margin. I'll get right on that....

I pulled out halloween cookie cutters this weekend, but can't for the life of me remember if I had a ghost one. My little guy would love these.
such talent should not be limited to blogland. take your run-over ghost cookie to the masses. how about You tube? wherein you can film the mastication of the ghost cookie.
I love your hideous ghost - excellent use of sugar sprinkles!
I love the way his little mouth is open --like he's screaming :)
I always know it's fall when I feel like making chili.
Can I just say how much I love visiting your blog? I never know what kind of fun I am going to find over here! Ok I know that you are old enough to remember Mr Bill, all I could think then I saw your masticated & hit by a very large truck ghost cookie was,
Oh Nooooooo, Mr Bill!!!!! I almost chocked on my cracker jacks!
I am now wishing I could come over for chili, cornbread AND cookies...
Those are so cool! I want one! yum.
that second cookie doesn't look ugly. it just looks artistic.
Yummy! We made pumpkin shaped cookies last night too. They were for a party, however I think a ghost must of ate them.
