(Alert readers will remember that James is the one who made us all look cute in last year's photo, as well as the one who took the amazing pictures of the Little Five Points Halloween Parade... I really think he has a fantastic way with focus and light.)
It was a fun photo session, which is saying something - because I really, really, REALLY hate to have my picture taken.
But we went to the park and had a good time with it. Thought I'd share a few of the fun ones...
It really was fun, and we've got several great pictures from which to choose. My only complaint is that in many of the pictures I am looking mighty double-chin-some. Wish I could blame that on the lighting, or the photographer, or something - but I think the credit falls squarely on me. Too many cups of grits from The Flying Biscuit Cafe (my latest culinary love affair...)
Oh well, maybe it's a good thing to kick off the holiday season feeling a little pudgy? Maybe that is the incentive I need to keep from overindulging... (or maybe I should say overindulging further...)
One last shot - this is what happens when the eight-year-old in the photo shoot starts to feel like it's been going on too long*...
*Personally, I think this photo is hilarious, and I would love to use it on a Christmas Card. However, both Bubba and Schecky tell me it would be wildly inappropriate.
Sigh.

You are all too cute!! Especially the Grinchy one at the end! You sure had some great weather for picture taking.
Those are excellent!
I think the last one is GREAT! USE IT!!! USE IT!!!
Use it! And you are adorable, my dear. Sadly I know all too well about going into the holiday season feeling a little pudgy. I guess I'll have to cut back on the pecan pie and only have, say, two pieces, instead of four.
Cheers!
Oh come on who doesn’t love receiving a “wildly inappropriate” holiday card? I that you should use it too! By the way I think that you need to get your eyes checked. Double chins my eye!
They are wonderful! I would so use the last one, it's perfect!
Those pictures came out so well! And double chin? Wha? I don't see it. I, my dear, am sporting a serious double chin these days. Oh well, I'll work on that in the New Year.
Oh man, that last picture would be GREAT on a Christmas card!
Please don't mention that "chin" thing. If there's any plastic surgery I'd every be tempted to get.............
why didn't bloglines update you?! argh?!
love the photos. you are so stinkin' cute, i kinda hate you now.
Hey! what's up with bloglines? You posted this Sunday and I'm just reading it on Wednesday.
I love these pictures, you should soooo use the last one. Come up with some witty caption to go with it. I love it.
And your blue eyes dear...so pretty!
Its a beautiful family.
A deaf, dumb and blind monkey with a bad disposition would have done no worse.
these are great! WHAT double chin? oh you'll have a hard time picking which ones to send out.
