It's raining!
It's pouring!
And if it had been so long since the last time *you* saw rain that you had forgotten what it looks/smells/feels like - you'd be excited about it too!
It's a lovely wet gray day - perfect for staying in and puttering.
Not so coincidentally, that is what's on the agenda for the day.
I'm really looking forward to it.
Of course, I'm not all by myself.
Nope, I've got Bruce to keep me company.
It's funny - I don't consider myself a big Springsteen fan, but his new single "Radio Nowhere" seems to be the only thing I want to listen to today.
(updated to add: How cool it this? It was recorded right here in the ATL. Now I like it even more...)
And you can listen to it too, right here.
enjoy!
*What's making you stupidly happy today? What can't you stop listening to?

Celebrity Poker Showdown. A guilty pleasure. What's playing in the sewing room? Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, The Postal Service, Jack Johnson, Gwen Stefani
Cindy - I didn't have an email addy for you - but wanted to agree with you about DCfC and the Postal Service. Those both go quite nicely with the rainy day feel!
Nothing has made me really happy yet, except for the fact that I made it through our annual 'pet blessing' ceremony at school alive!
Hmmm, usually I don't like springsteen, but that song *is* catchy.
What makes me crazy happy is that Jack can sing Bon Jovi's Lost Highway. Yehaw!
Stupidly happy? Espresso. Man, I love the buzz. And listening to? Imogen Heap. LOVE it. I am new to this group/girl/guy -- not sure which, and love it.
Hope you are having a great week my friend! Enjoy that rain. I'm very envious.
You're gonna laugh at me....but I've been listening to "Now That's What I Call Music 25"....LOL.
One of my favorites on there is 'Like This' by Mims.
Suzie plays it in body sculpting class and it's just fun (and nasty!)
What made me happy today?
Putting a judge in his place! ;-)
When I let Annie out yesterday morning at 6 a.m. there was a noise. I kept thinking "what is that noise?" then "WHAT is that noise?" Took me about a minute to realize IT WAS THE SOUND OF RAIN! How sad is that?
anytime I hear Bruce, i don't immediately think of the Boss, but that song from the 1970s whose refrain goes "don't bring me down.....bruce!" ELO. that's right. i'm listening to a new-to-me 2004 Snow Patrol release in the car and the very best of Diana Krall at work. there are at least two good songs on that wherein she sings songs about food and eatin!
